File Cabinet Makeover in the Speech Therapy Room

Y'all look at these. They were painted years ago and in need of some love. I wasn't feeling the energy needed to repaint them (they are packed full of my crafts I use in therapy) so I looked for some wallpaper that would go with the pink.

So, I first took off the pulls and the card holders. I spray painted them a shiny gold. Make sure the spray paint you buy is made for metal. This is a lot of work not to last;)

I then made a template out of construction paper the size of the cabinet drawer fronts. I needed two because one of the file cabinet drawers were bigger than the other. I used wallpaper that I ordered from Target to cover the face of the drawers. You just cut the wallpaper and stick it on like contact paper. The wallpaper is a bit heavier and easier to work with.

Just leaving you with an up close look at the drawers. They just make me so very happy! I hope this has inspired you to make over your own set of file cabinets for your therapy room.
